NATURE AND SCOPE

The successful candidate will report to Head of SME Lending. He/She will provide business advisory services to the micro, small and medium sized enterprises (SME) and informal business sectors.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. To provide business advice to the micro and small-sized enterprises

2. To appraise short and medium term investments for financing of medium-sized and small firms.

3. To manage loans portfolio for medium sized and small firms.

4. To supervise and recover investments financed by the bank.

5. To offer technical assistance and dire=t:ions regarding marketing of bank's SMEs products and services.

6. To identify and develop business relationships with prospective clients in conjunction with the Relationship Manager.

7. To assist SME's clients applying for the bank's facilities and services.

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

1. Graduate in Entrepreneurial Development, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting or related discipline.

2. At least• three (3) years relevant experience in credit assessment and/or relationship banking.

3. Computer literate.

4. Strong analytical skills.

5. Must be a team player, very well self motivated and able to manage and prioritize work load with minimum supervision.

6. Experience in SME development or related activities will be an added advantage.

7. To supervise, coach and assign work to junior staff.

1. Fresh Graduate in Economics, Finance Accounting or related discipline with at least an Upper Second class/division.

NATURE AND SCOPE

The successful candidate will report to Head, Agency Funds Administration. He/she is responsible to manage the bank's agency funds lending portfolio and related services.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. To visit project sites and submit call reports periodically.

2. To receive from the borrowers and review periodical statements of balance sheet, profit and loss, inventory, receivables, etc as stipulated in the Credit Instruction Memo (CIM).

3. To ensure clients submit periodic reports on physical progress as well as financial status of projects under implementation.

4. To ensure clients submit periodic reports on production, sales, finance and investment for operating projects.

5. To prepare and submit to the Credit Committee progress reports for projects under implementation and operating projects as required.

6. To maintain an ongoing review of credit facilities outstanding and give early warning signals.

7. To ensure loans extended to beneficiaries of agency funds are repaid and advise on the best ways to deal with defaulters.

8. To ensure all the terms of the credit facilities are complied with.

9. To ensure the principal repayments, all fees and charges are collected and credited as required

10. To perform remedial management of non-performing assets and where necessary institute appropriate recovery measures.

11. To assist in preparing plans and budget for the department.

12. To implement directives approved by the credit committee. .

13. To carry out any other duties assigned to him/her by the Supervisor.

14. To review departmental performance on regular basis.

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

1. Graduate in Business Administration, Economics, Banking, Finance or related discipline.

2. At least five (5) years relevant work experience in related field.

3. Computer Literate.

4. Strong analytical skills and presentation skills.

5. Strong written and communication skills with ability to write documentation in a concise and focused style.

6. Must be a team player, very well self motivated and able to manage and prioritise work load with minimum supervision.

Project Manager

Key responsibilities

Job Summary

The Temporary Research intern will assist the staff of the Economic Affairs Division in the coordination and implementation of work with a particular focus on: advancing the formation of a Commonwealth Regulatory Network for banking and insurance supervisors; operationalising the Commonwealth Ministerial Debt Sustainability website; and assisting in the preparation for Commonwealth input into the High Level Forum on aid effectiveness in Korea 2011.

Task description

Commonwealth Regulatory Network

* Researching areas of supervision which needs to be implemented in Small States and LDCs to enhance procedures and meet international best practices
* Liaising and collaborating with banking and insurance supervisory authorities to compile a database of comparative resources on legislation, policy guidelines, research and supervisory methodologies.
* Assist with the development of the Commonwealth’s Regulatory Network web-site.
* Assisting and providing support in the implementation and expansion of the Regulatory Network. This would involve research and editing, compilation and dissemination of questionnaires and responses, and organisation of discussion forums and compilation of reports as needed.
* Drafting letters and reports to high level officials.
* Providing as required back-up support on the other areas of programme work.

Commonwealth Ministerial Debt Sustainability Forum

* Develop plan to operationalise the website
* Further develop the structure of the website, continue its population and manage the website
* Research areas in Sovereign debt management and financing for development in order to identify content, discussion topics and manage website discussion
* Draft letters and liaise with high level officials

Aid Effectiveness

* Assist in the preparation of Commonwealth meetings in the run up to the high level forum in December 2011 on aid effectiveness. This would involve research and editing, compilation and dissemination of questionnaires and responses, and organisation of discussion forums and compilation of reports as needed.
* Draft letters and liaise with high level officials.

The post holder may also be required to perform any other duties appropriate to the position as may be required from time to time.
