Business Analyst (Systems) – 5 Vacancies
1 Purpose of the Job

The main responsibility of the job is to analyze the business requirements of the business users to determine business-concerned problems and recommends solutions. These analysts define and apply technical knowledge for solving complex problems concerning business application systems. Developing and delivering presentations to the clients and seeking business opportunities that help in development of technical specifications and detailed business, proposals and projected costs.
2 Major activities of the job

(i) Reviewing, analyzing, and modifying programming systems including installing, encoding, debugging, and testing to support the organization’s application systems.

(ii) Supervising and providing training, developing, and maintaining end user documentation related with administrative system.

(iii) Researching, planning, and recommending administrative system and software choices to satisfy the organization’s business requirements.

(iv) Assisting in the implementation of system modifications and expansions, new systems releases.

(v) Assisting in developing design considerations, cost analyses, and execution time-lines.

(vi) Conducting task analysis and interacting with system users in order to identify chances for the improvement of productivity, integration, and to decrease costs.

(vii) Preparing programming and system documentation for other programmers and users in compliance with external and internal standards.

(viii) Maintaining a professional cognizance of techniques and tools that may use in the improvement of quality of service.

(ix) Assisting business units in the preparation of business process mapping and departmental procedures.
3 Minimum Job Requirements
3.1 Qualifications

(i) Advanced Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent qualifications from an accredited university or institution.

(ii) Experience in programming and systems analysis related activities.

(iii) Knowledge of ITIL or other IT Service Management processes will be of added advantage.

(iv) Advanced skills in LINUX/UNIX, Microsoft Windows Operating Systems.

(v) Advanced skills in various servers and different database systems such as Oracle, MS-SQL, My-SQL etc.

(vi) Advanced skills in Web programming languages such as PowerBuilder, .NET, Java, C#.
3.2 Key Competencies

(i) Sound knowledge of documentation procedures, programming procedures and methods, operator instructions, and program flow charts.

(ii) Strong knowledge of System analysis and Workflow Management.

Assistant System Administrator – 14 Vacancies

1 Purpose of the Job

The main responsibility is to ensure the operational efficacy and excellence of an organization. S/he will ensure the computing environment works at optimum levels all the time in order to allow seamless business operations. The computing environment will include both hardware (desktop, printers, scanners, laptop, UPSes etc) and software (Operating Software (Microsoft and Linux) for front- and backend, MS Office Suite, client-server, Internet applications etc). S/he will ensure the users are adequately trained and conversant with working on different applications that will be deployed.

2 Major activities of the job

(i) Assisting office workers with their computer desktop systems

(ii) Providing computer support services both for software and hardware for an organization’s employees

(iii) Testing of computers and ensuring that computer systems are functioning properly.

(iv) Physical setting up of computers and software system installation for various computer applications and programs

(v) Identifying and solving any problems that affect computer operating systems

(vi) Discussing with individual staff members who work on the computers what the problems is in order to figure out how to help solve the problem. Individual assessments of computer systems to identify the problem(s)

(vii) Help in examination of network servers equipment and maintenance

(viii) Maintenance of networking systems

(ix) Maintenance and upgrading of computer systems or offering recommendations on upgrades needed

(x) Networking and connecting computers within the same organization to enhance communication

(xi) Training staff and orienting them on how to use computer hardware and software systems

(xii) Troubleshooting routine problems and maintenance of servers

(xiii) Responsible for performing ICT needs assessment and recommending regularly on the optimized requirements and deployment of different ICT assets to meet business requirement of the area.

1 Purpose of the Job

The main responsibility is to ensure the operational efficacy and excellence of an organization. The business analyst designs and documents work flow, manages and provides solutions to new business unit ideas, trends, and concepts appropriately through the latest technological paths. The business analyst understands the customer’s business requirements and business process management, and then translates them to particular software requirements.

2 Major activities of the job

(i) Collecting and analyzing and projects business requirements and transferring the same knowledge to development team.

(ii) Evaluating the data collected through task analysis, business process, surveys and workshops.

(iii) Providing suggestions to the development team during the development stage of product to meet the client’s business needs.

(iv) Preparing accurate and detailed requirement specifications documents, user interface guides, and functional specification documents.

(v) Communicating effectively with external clients and internal teams to deliver product’s functional requirements like screen, interface, and GUI designs.

(vi) Documenting the acquired results of analysis and workflows as well as obtaining sign-off from the appropriate client.

(vii) Prepare, coordinate and perform system quality tests (Technical and User) to meet the specified business requirements.

Business Analyst (Security) – 3 Vacancies
1 Purpose of the Job

The main responsibility is to provide technical expertise in ensuring that the information Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability of an organization is adequately maintained. The business analyst (security) ensures that adequate information security measures are put in place throughout the organization in order to protect its data versus various internal and external attacks. The technical analyst develops, reviews and implements the information security plans, policies, standards, procedures and business continuity/disaster recovery plan in order to maintain business processes continuity.
2 Major activities of the job

(i) Develop, review and implement a workable business continuity/disaster recovery plan for the organization.

(ii) Carries out regular updates of the TRA Security guidelines in line with technological changes.

(iii) Develops and maintains the IT Service Continuity Management Process.

(iv) Performing risk analysis in view of applying appropriate security level to the organization’s assets.

(v) Reviewing the effectiveness of the antivirus software installed at various organizations’ systems and advises accordingly.

(vi) Assesses internal security control adequacies including carrying out verification of users’ access rights in the systems.

(vii) Ensure that physical and logical security controls are implemented in all TRA’s systems.

(viii) Manage IT related security incidents. This includes coordinating the disaster recovery team and liaising with the business.

(ix) Carry out vulnerability and penetration tests on different systems and advise on the results obtained accordingly

(x) Survey available modern security controls and advise accordingly.

(xi) Perform information security awareness according to the approved program.

(xii) Carry out any other duties as may be directed by the management.
3 Minimum Job Requirements
3.1 Qualification

(i) Advanced Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.

(ii) Possession of CISA, CISM, etc., knowledge of ITIL or other IT Service Management processes will be of added advantage.
3.2 Key Competencies

(i) Advanced skills in LINUX/UNIX, Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and various penetration test tools.

(ii) Advanced skills in various servers and different database systems such as oracle, SQL etc.

(iii) Technical ability in being able to read data from the IT Services Continuity Management process that will help with the identification of trends and improvements relating to disaster recovery.

(iv) High degree of analytical skills needed to be able to help in the process or restoring service as quickly as possible in the event of a disaster.

(v) High degree of analytical skills to be able to assess the impact of security incidents on different business systems and people.

(vi) Ability to focus on other aspects of security not just the technical side, that is, should be able to plan for organization, procedural and physical security needs.
