The Tanzania Institute of Accountancy (TIA) is an Executive Agency under the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs which was established on 1st July,2002 and officially launched on 24th January ,2003 as per Act No 30 of 1997

As an Executive Agency, TIA is operating semi autonomously in providing quality education in the field of Accountancy, Procurement & Supplies and other Business Related Disciplines so as to become a self sustainable Institute.

TIA is accredited by NACTE as Institute of Higher Learning mandated by NBAA and PSPTB To conduct training Programmes in the fields of Accountancy and Procurement and supplies.

The Institute is inviting qualified and dedicated personnel to fill the following post in its establishment:

RECTOR :1 POST-STATIONED AT DSM CAMPUS 1. REQUIRED QUALIFICATION:

A Prosective aspirant must be a PhD and holder of outstanding academic and administrative experience and proven capability in the area of technical & Supply ,education and training in the field of Accountancy,Procurement & Supply Managemenmt,Finance and other business related disciplines and be eligible for registration as technical teacher









Proven ability to develop and coordinate the implementation of an academic vision for the Tanzania Institute of Accountancy (TIA): and A person possessing ability to influence persuades build coalitions networks and ability to stimulate and encourage new ideas and development through motivation and support of staff and students. Associate Professorship/Professorship will be a d support of staff and students.

2. Duties AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Rector shall:

Be the Accounting officer and spokesperson of the Institutes; Facilitate learning (by teaching ) programmes in the Institute;

Be the principal Academic And Administrative officer of he Institute and secretary to the Ministerial Advisor Board
(MAB);

Be resporting for formulation and implementation of policies to enhance the academic excellence of the Institute,

Administrate the enforcement of by laws and regulation made by the Government and Regulatory organs;

Promote good relations with the Government and other stakeholders; and Be responsible for promoting efficiency in the academic activities related to training research and consultancy.
3. Tenure of office

The Rector shall hold office for a term of five years and may be re-appointed consecutily for one more term of five years.

4. Age limit: Must be between 45 and 50 years

5. REMUNERATION:
Salary :PHTS 21 plus attractive incentives package
