Marine Services Company limited is a large reputable parastatal organization operation in the shipping industry, along the three great lakes of Victoria, Tanganyika and Nyasa.The Company is an equal opportunity employer and wished to strengthen its services by inviting applications from suitably qualified, competent, experienced and self-motivated Tanzanian Candidates to fill the following vacant position:

1. Job Title: INTERNAL AUDITOR-MSA GRADE (1 post).

a) Work Station: Mwanza

b) Responsible To: The General Manager

c) Responsible to: The General Manager

- A Holder of first Degree/Advanced Diploma in Accounting.

- Professional Accounting qualifications such CPA (T) Or ACCA and or its equivalent with at least three years experience in the relevant field in a reputable organization will be added advantage.

- Must be registered with NBAA as an authorized Accountant/Auditor and must be computer literate.

2. Duties and responsibilities:

- Draft Internal Audit Reports

- Ascertain the extant to which Assets are accounted for a safeguarded from losses of all kinds.

- Recommended revenue collection protection, and credit control measures.

- Complies audit programmes, questionnaires and low charts etc.and initiate preparation of manuals.

- Audit and review of Annual Final Accounts before submission to External Auditors

- Determine specific Audit procedure applicable to specific Audits.

ii. Responsible to: The Ships Captain.

3. Qualifications:

i. Holder of Form VI certificate of Secondary Education.

ii. Possess Intermediate class 3 or 4 certificates of competency in watch keeping.

4. Duties and responsibilities:

i. To stand watches (Watch Keeping)

ii. To perform cargo loading operations and safe boarding and disembarking of passengers.

iii. To calculate shipping stability.

iv. To plan, supervises a coordinates deck and bridge watch activities.

v. To perform any other duties as my assigned by his supervisor.

ii. Responsible to: The Brach Manager.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

-Should be a holder of first Degree/Advanced Diploma in Human resources Development/Industrial Relations /Public Administration or any other related field.

- Must have experience of at three years in the in the field in any reputable organization.

Should be computer literate good written and spoken English language is necessary requirements.

4. Duties and Responsibilities:

-To prepare and administer Personnel budget and administration of salaries of the Branch.

- Responsible for initiations of open performance appraisal exercise at branch level.

- Responsible for interpretation and implementation of government directives and circulars governing


-To attend employees grievances and handle staff welfare issues

- Identify staff training and development needs.

- To deal with disciplinary matters.

II. Secretary to the General Manager

3. Qualifications.

a) Secondary education Form IV/VI

b) Diploma in Secretarial Duties from recognized Institution.

c) Demonstrated experience of at least one year in a reputable organization.

d) Computer in Microsoft Word and Excel.

e) Good organizational and multiple tasking skills.

f) Good command of spoken and written Kiswahili and English.

Duties and responsibilities:

I. To work as Personal Secretary.

II. To handle sensitive incoming official mails both confidential and open

III. To make travel and Hotel accommodation arrangement for official guests. IV. To maintain up date confidential files.

V. To maintain Diary of appointments and receive visitors. VI. To draft routine letters.

VII. To keep records.

VIII. To deal with office management and order office supplies.

II. Responsible to: The Branch Manager

III. Qualification and Experience required:--A Holder of Form Four (IV) Certificate -Class C driving License

-Courses at National Institute of Transportation will be an added advantage.

Duties and responsibilities:

- Drives the vehicles of the Branch Manager -Submits report in writing on the state of the vehicle

-Submits accident report immediately upon occurrence of that event. -Send the vehicle to the grade for service/maintenance

-Maintains log book
